Cleaning acid etch primer off brushes

658 forum posts 236 photos	Been repainting a new to me Record 25 vice. Used Zinc Phosphate acid etch primer for the first coat followed by zinc phosphate primer for the follow up coats. Issue is white spirits won't clean my brushes of the etch primer. Works fine on the other primer but I can foresee a pile of stiff paintbrushes forming in the near future. What should I be using to clean this stuff off?

7517 forum posts 20 photos	There are several thinners/paint removers which would do the job. The item is clearly not oil based, so try a cellulose or universal paint thinner. Plenty on the net or from suppliers, I would think. Even Li*l. Look on the tin - there may well be a list of the sovent or suggestions for cleaning brushes. Might even be water! 135 forum posts 13 photos	I do what Andrew J does. Thinners, paint remover and cleaning agents are to expensive to waste on relatively cheap paint brushes, not to mention the waist of time cleaning them.
