Was in Lidl this morning and noticed they had an inverter stick welder for £69.99 ,bit of a bargain or would it be crappy cheap rubbish ? . Over 20yrs ago i bought a 120 amp stick welder for £40 new and it's still in use today . So my point is ,do any of you think this is worth a punt ? ...

Dunno Sean, but on the strength of this thread, third from end posting, I bought one a couple of days ago, though not had chance to try it out yet.

Certainly cheap. Lightweight and low powered perhaps, but with a three year warranty I doubt it is either of your other suggestions. If it is crappy rubbish, then return it when it fails.

Certainly not a bargain if you don't really want, or need, one!
