4 forum posts	Hello, My name is Dean I'm from Australia. I love machining, more than that I love making things by hands, and I'm on my journey of trying to make watches completely by hand like the late great George Daniels, and his protege Roger W. Smith. I mostly have a few watchmakers lathe, and Myford ML7, recently acquired Super 7 that needs a lot of work. I'm also patiently waiting for my little Cowells lathe to turn up. The wait is killing me This board is full of great information. I hope to be able to share some knowledge that I learn too. Cheers, Dean DK

Reminds me of the first 6 months of my apprenticeship, many many moons ago, cut & file a cube out of a 2" piece of round, using hacksaw, chisel, various files, engineers squares, marking blue, had to make sure that all angles were 90*, sides flat & square to ea. other. All good practice, pig sick of filing after that exercise. George.
