Aunty Joyce lost me on Barry beach once for an hour - I remember her crying when she found me. The Mitchell looks to be a bit bigger than the average model makers lathe - what will you be making with it? Rik |

The Mitchell is a fair size machine (for me anyway) but I only really had this one as the price was right and I was hoping to use it to do general farm repair stuff with it but I'm trying to figure out the quick change gearbox for thread cutting and I'm stuck... I don't have a manual and tried Tony's lathe but haven't heard anything back so thought I'd ask out here.

![]() 152 forum posts | Hi I have a Mitchell lathe when I was an apprentice some some 55 years ago a new Mitchell lathe was being installed my first job was to clean it when the factory closed some 45 years later I purchased it for £300-00 a very good purchase what model is yours as I have a manual and I may be able to help |
