New member here, just traded up from a Drummond ML4 to a Myford ML7.

Few jobs little jobs to get it up to spec, fitted a 3 phase motor with variable speed control, eBay bargains and Chinese switch gear.

Shahe DRO with Adruino interface with TouchDRO in progress.

Back plate for 4 jaw chuck needs a tap run down it so if anyone has a 1 1/8 12 TPI tap they would sell/loan please get in touch

Welcome along Peter, lots of good advise on this forum. I cant help with a tap but if you put up your location someone may be close to you.

If you want to buy them, Tracy Tools have them hidden away in their catalogue but not identified as Myford compatible. Look under 'Whitform' and scroll through till you reach the right one.. Here's a link:

Peter, I believe RDG sell them , and I assume they will be at the Alexandra Palace model engineering show in January.

Hi Trevor,

Chronos list them too ( £ 16 cheapest) but none in stock.

It may be cheaper to wait for an old back plate to come up on Ebay and fit it to that.
