Identification help please

![]() 2376 forum posts 800 photos | I've decided to make a serious foray into the locomotive world, with this 3 1/2" Rob Roy that I have recently acquired. As can be seen from the photos, it is not quite standard, with the addition of a pair of trailing wheels and a Drummond-like front end. This part built loco has been through several hands before coming to me. Most of the plate work has been started and all is to a nice standard. ![]() 1285 forum posts 353 photos | Hi Rod, You have a nice chassis there. I can only assume the original builder decided to fit a larger coal bunker plus additional water underneath. There is no fullsize prototype that accords with this variation. When you get to the Rob Roy boiler PM me as have a few suggestions for improvements etc. Cheers, Julian
