I got invited up to Leeds to take part in this crazy workshop. Hoping to put together an animatronic Leeds / Gnome diorama so if there are any electrical or mechanically minded types who want to come along it's free to attend. And crafty paintery types invited too, or if you want to knit a gnome hat...

That looks like it might be good fun, Leeds is too far away though.

Now why does this make me thing of Michael Bentine's Potty Time?

I caught some of those on the reruns but definitely an influence of mine. Also Jim Henson, Monty Python and Matt Irvine.

I'd forgotten about it for forty-odd years!

The headline made me think that it was a reunion for owners of old photographic enlargers! (AGE showing!)

Perhaps the photographic enlarger could be used as a computer controller magic lantern?

Cripes! I'd forgotten about my Gnone enlarger too - I think that's in Dad's loft!

I have a Wray 4 1/2" enlarger lens right here. Apparently they are popular with retro macro-photographers.

Forgotten gnome enlargers sounds like a forgotten episode of the Goodies.

The event was a success and my Pi recruits managed to get IR sensors working and LEDs flashing. We also got one of them shouting messages to scare the local cats.
