![]() 2947 forum posts 468 photos | It's a view of the transporter bridge over the Tees from the Port Clarence side, just had a £2m work over that took a year, new glass sided gondola, glass lift to the top for viewing all over Teesside, rework on the trolley system. One of the North East's /Teesside's iconic landmarks. it was featured in one of Auf Weidersehen Pet episodes where Oz & the gang sold / dismantled / shipped it to an Indian reservation in Arizona USA... but all we Smoggie landers got upset ... 2805 forum posts 219 photos | Michael Gilligan: As you will have guessed, I am one of the many who dislike throwing potentially useful things away; today, the pain of doing so is amplified by the sense of guilt in consigning anything to landfill so I shall drop the package off at my local cartridge shop for recycling. |
