I found a very easy to use and free electronic circuit simulator here:

www.lushprojects.com

Doesn't appear to be any malware issues - I've shared with a couple of friends without a problem.

Here is a simple power supply I'm building at the moment, as an example.

That's neat! Probably use that in another hobby (amateur radio) as well.

Thanks

The PSU is for a repair/restore of an old Kenwood TS700G...

My favourite free circuit simulators are LTspice IV and QUCS.

LTspice is a very full featured general Spice simulator that comes with loads of accurate models for components. Good for much circuit design.

QUCS is perhaps a bit more difficult to get to grips with but is better for RF work, having good transmission line models and being able to work with s-parameters. It can do optimisation as well. Probably better for amateur radio use.

The component models in lushprojects are rather poor.

Russell.
