A school about 2 miles from where I live is having a bit of a problem with their milling machine in the DT department. They have a box of maybe 15 different HSS cutters. I think mostly endmills. About half their cutters are chipped or blunted beyond use and the rest are starting to wear too. Their only grinding tool is a Union pedestal grinder so they can't sharpen them and I don't own a mill so don't have a grinder suitable. The department had hoped to get funding to replace their Clarkson collet chuck with an ER chuck cause that way they could have gotten new cutters without using the department budget and instead the main schools budget or something but they didn't win whatever lottery the funding worked off so they are somewhat stuck.

Can anyone here with a precision grinder take 10 tools and get them back to a useable condition? I could pay postage.

There's a chap advertising on the Homeworkshop site who grinds end mills quite cheaply. The money goes to a hospice so well worth supporting.

The location is macclesfield. If you aren't nearby I could still post them to you along with enough money to cover the cost of sending them back with maybe a bit extra on the side.
