148 forum posts 4 photos | Hi I noticed Amadael are now selling my lathe. There version is fitted with a thread dial gauge. I bought one for my lathe from them I can not see any way to mount it. Any ideas. I guess I should ring them. |

148 forum posts 4 photos | The lathe is the AMA210VG I'm guessing I would need to drill and tap to mount it. I don't really want to do that but I can not see any other way to attach it. |

940 forum posts 30 photos | Dave Below is a picture of my Chester DB7 lathe showing the thread dial indicator which mounts on the right hand side of the saddle/apron with a long cap head screw and spacer.
To engage the dial it is swung in so that the gear engages the lead screw. Hope this helps Martin |

148 forum posts 4 photos | Thanks for the pics my lathe does not seem to have a tapped hole it looks like I will have to drill and tap a suitable hole to attach it to the lathe. I think I'll put the fitting on hold for now. |
