630 forum posts 12 photos | Hi all, looking for a supplier of Helical gears....prefer from stock.... I need a matched pair between 75-100mm about 20-25mm tooth thickness and hardened ... these are to run in mesh one above the other to reverse the direction of the driven gear.....to transmit 2-5hp at varying speeds.....constant load..... this is to drive a camshaft (4 cylinder petrol) in the past they were driven by ally or even fiber gears meshed with a steel one... any ideas...many thanks Clogs |

48 forum posts 8 photos | I found Paul Wheeler at Cross & Morse of Birmingham very helpful. 021 360 0155. They have a online catalogue so you might find what you seek there. I ordered a pair of bevel gears and they were delivered the following day. |

**LINK** Also do a priced on-line catalogue.
Only problem with stock ears is they are usually pilot bore as they don't know what you want them for and therefore unhardened although you do have a choice of materials. |
