How to paint over varnish
Michael Foster | 21/02/2015 17:44:20 |
13 forum posts | I have just sprayed Phoenix varnish over the running board of my model. The finish was a bit speckly so i wanted to re-paint over the varnish. I waited 24 hours then rubbed down but the new finish is worse . i think there was a reaction between the varnish solvent and underlying paint. Has anyone any experience of painting over a previously varnished model, or do i have to completely strip down and start again. Any advice much apppreciated |
