Hi everyone,

I picked this up on Ebay and would like to know more about it but it has no makers name on it - may have been on the front cover but this looks like it may be home made and not the original.

It works fine and will be used as a sort of pillar drill for tapping etc although i need to lock the auto feed on it ( works by rotating the flywheel on top as best as i can see)

For $17 i reckon it was worth it even just for the curiosity factor !

It is around 400 mm high at maximum .

Wish i knew how to rotate the pictures !

Ian

Have a look at this thread

Nicholas Farr posted a picture of an old Tyzack advert.

Hi Ian, Michael has beaten me to it, and yes I believe the front cover has been replaced with a home made one. You can see photo's of mine all stripped down in this **LINK** but ignore the last three as they relate to another drill, also the stand on mine is not the correct one.

Regards Nick.

Thanks Michael and Nick,

I think a good clean and lube is in order then bolt it to my bench.

Probably end up with a countersink bit in it .

Ian,

I have several options to rotate pictures, the first is my camera, I can rotate the picture using its software, the second is PIXsizer which I use to reduce the pictures before up loading to Websites, windows 8.1 does it and finally Paintshop Pro does it for me.

"Wish i knew how to rotate the pictures !"

If you saw my rant a couple of months back, you'd know that the only solution I found was to get rid of Windows 8 / 8.1. Luckily I am now back on W7 and much better for it. And I refuse to bu**er about with 3rd party programs just because some smart 4rse at Microsoft decided to change something. I even paid £40 extra to have W7 on a new laptop rather than W8.1

There.
