![]() 7468 forum posts 230 photos | I have a 6" Vertex rotary table, and when I put the 8" chuck off my lathe on top there is not too much head room on my Rexon vertical milling machine. I would be looking for a table with as low profile as possible, I had no other choice, it was the only one in Christchurch at that time, and probably the only make available. Ian S C |

. Jo ... Interesting ... How are you mounting the VDH onto the table of the BCA ? MichaelG. Very simply: I drilled two additional holes in line with the VDH spindle, use these to bolt onto the bed. The second will go on the Sixis tilting carrier, which means it can rotate as well as tilt. John: When I get my bigger machine I would like another of those larger heads, I used to have a very tasty 6" Elliot universal which I could hardly lift. I still have all the dividing plates and the gears sets. But they are miles too big for anything under the size of a Beaver. Jo |

Useful to have confirmation. MichaelG. [envious of the Sixis]
