Can't help directly with the Warco 712, but I have had the Axminster version for several years. It is used for production work cutting up to 50mm hex stainless using Tuffsaws M42 blades. Lost count of the number of cuts it's done but it will be approaching 10k.

Only had two issues: The quick release vice was junk, it wouldn't hold anything after about a week, so a quick rebuild with a trapezoidal screw and brass nut fixed that. Recently, the downfeed cylinder gave up the ghost, but again a quick repair with a new piston and O Ring has transformed it.

I've also had a 6x4 saw for 30+ years, but it just doesn't have the weight on the blade to cut the stainless.

I asked for a review of the Warco 712 Bandsaw, perhaps i could have phrased the question better, yes i do want the extra capacity, i was expecting some reasoned comments on the machine not the Vitriol shown by some.

In answer to [not done it yet] as regards the throw away society i drive a 28 year old Volvo, had it from new, how many cars have you thrown away in that time.

Suggesting that i would pass a dud machine on to an unsuspecting buyer i find quite offensive, don't judge others by your own standards, i could donate it to the local Vicar for slicing cucumber for tea parties.

Thank you to those of you who did show some support.

Just shows that you need to specify reasons when you ask a general question.. If you did, then you would get a reasoned response.

Andrew.

You asked for thoughts. You might not have even noticed the number of question marks - making them questions, not statements of your intentions. As it happens, i’ve rarely sold on a vehicle - they are used until an uneconomic repair. My present transport is coming up to 25 years old next month and looks like it may well make 30 years without too much expenditure. I don’t know you - you may be rich, I don’t know - but a hobby bandsaw for over a grand (I did think you could look for the same item elsewhere). Who cares anyway, they were just thoughts - except I wrote them down, whereas others didn’t. Do try to be a bit more specific/precise when asking questions is my advice. We’ve all seen the ‘boat anchors’ on ebay from time to time.
