Well gents I bit the bullet and went for a 1996 Myford super 7 with cross feed and a right load of tooling going to pick it up when I get off the rig its located in Jarrow EXITED

thanks for the input above, in the end you just have to jump in and try whatever you fancy.

I think you made a good choice there Jacky. At least you know you have a properly designed and built lathe and many accessories can be had either new or used or even make your own.

MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody, Well went to Jarrow on 22nd and picked up the lathe with loads of tooling it's an absolute beauty and an old industrial stand. Spent the last two days stripping the cabinet back to bare metal as it was 1/2 gray 1/2 green. Not easy getting the paint off but just held the heat gun on and done an inch at a time. When I got to the rear of the cabinet it was like scraping a football field, but all done now and buffed down with a wire wheel and then emery paper, BnQ tomorrow for some red lead undercoat awaiting green Myford paint delivery, was going to post a few pick but think I have to upload to site first.
