.

Quite so, Neil ... but Steve had already reached the magic 5 when I made that suggestion.

Hence "Now perhaps ..."

.

P.S. ... Strictly speaking, it's the other thread that's "the ONE"  devil

Hi Guys

Thanks for those few kind comments and the slight bits of wit , I will try and contribute what I can in engineering terms when Im a little less tired , unfortunately I have Osteo Arthritis in my spine , hands feet and knees as well as Cervical spondilosis in my neck , Chronic Obstructive airways disease among other conditions and sometimes when the wether isnt too good it wears me down with the Pain and Fatigue, Im Ill health retired and I have worked in Engineering since leaving school and I will be 65 in just over a year and a half , Oh I forgot to say I have vibration White finger and I struggle now to work with small objects but I struggle along , I make all sorts of things when I cn but must admit that Gun Smithing is my main Enjoyment these days but I can turn my hand to most things to do with Machining or Engineering .

I have a Axminster Metal lathe CQ6230 with Suds Pump ,unfortunately its the older model without the Double taper roller bearings and double helical gears which makes for easier quieter running , Ive got a 4 jaw indipendant chuck a 4 jaw sef centring chuck and a 3 jaw self centring chuck a ER32 lathe Collet Chuck , a Precision ER32 collet chuck with a 40mm x 100mm straight shank a Precision C40 ER40 collet chuck with 40mm x 100 mm straight shank, ER 40 collet set & ER32 Collet set and loads of Calipres and Micrometers of all sorts ! all sorts of cutter tools and accessories ! Drills Taps Dies etc etc.

I have an Elliot Victoria Universal Milling Machine with a Swiveling Machine Table 45 Degree with a Horizontal milling Shaft and Vertical Swivelling Tilting Head with suds Pump and Main Tank all sorts Drill chucks & Collet Cutter chucks all types of cutters and cutter heads and slitting saws and clamps etc

I have a Clarke CBS45MD Metal Cutting Bandsaw

I have a Large Bench Drill

I have a Clarke 8" Bench Grinder & Sealey 6" Bench Grinder & a Kaindl BSM 20 Drill Grinder

I think one of my motor stat up Capacitors has gone on my Lathe now too its either a 35mfd or a 200mfd Capacitor so Ive got that to sort out now !

I do hope that I can join in with you guys a little more in the near future , but I will close for now take care all of you.

All the best

Regards

Steve

As a suggestion, could some of the members with large numbers of postings to their .... credit .... perhaps donate some of those postings to those that need to get theirs up (postings). They might advertise their surplus in the for sale section - leaving appropriate contact details of course.

Just a thought.
