paste the URL into the box, and follow your nose.

And when the URL appears in the message box you can delete the 'http://' part to ensure it displays the destination instead of saying '**link**', or type something meaningful while the link is still highlighted.

Examples of the three approaches:

OK - boring things like earning a living got in the way of the model making for a while, but I've done some more on the bed

The outline has been roughed out now and the dovetails machined:

The base/foot of the bed will be fabricated.

Possibly a bit heavy to fly (it is an SE5a isn't it?)

Seriously, nice progress, it's very satisfying carving lumps of CI (if you don't make mistakes).

Love it!

The material is not CI but BDMS - I know I should have used the right material but .... (can't think of an excuse)

As the bed is machined from a block a lot of the detail will be fabricated. Not sure how some of this will be done yet. To mix up a couple of proverbs: It's a case of "burn that while we cross it"

All the best,

Ian

Going well indeed. What is the overall length of the bed, and the width?

I have often daydreamed of doing a similar model of my M-Type but thought I might cheat and use aluminium for the parts that are painted over, maybe screwing two strips of steel on the top of the bed to form the ways. Now I have been shamed into looking at a block of 2" square BMS bar I have sitting around....
