With regard to using HSS solid hacksaw blades rather than Bi-metal flexible ones (which appear to be all the local DIY shops stock these days), does anybody have recommendations? Named products? And are there any subtle differences between HSS blades that would make one blade better as a lathe tool than others? . Colin, As Rod says, Eclipse ... Also Starrett [painted bright yellow]. ... HSS is branded as Redstripe Starrett's machine hacksaw blades are excellent material, if you need something a little more substantial. MichaelG. Edited By Michael Gilligan on 14/01/2015 12:55:38 |

863 forum posts 104 photos | I think if you print from a web browser (any web browser) it will print the entire page regardless. As the posts are contained in an HTML table it's possible to just highlight the posted entries and the title with your mouse and then copy those to the clipboard to paste into a text editor or office type package. I'll think I have Libre on my Linux PC. Will check it out. Ed. Ok, had a quick play with Libre Office Writer and can grab and paste just the text along with authors and title from Firefox, then paste into Libre Office Writer. ![]() 91 forum posts 7 photos | Hi Colin, There is an excellent little prog. available that you might find does what you want in saving info from the Forum or indeed anywhere else. Check out: (usual disclaimer, I just find it great) www.faststone.org/FSCapturerDownload.htm. It isnt freeware but does allow a free trial and then costs c.15 euro for a lifetime licence. With it you can capture irregular, regular shapes. You can scroll from top to bottom of say a Forum page, then crop the ads.etc on all sides and save to a file or Word doc. You can save further pages to the same doc and so on. It copies videos from yoo-toob etc.also. etc, etc. One last thing about it is that it can grab pics/text even from sites that don't normally allow you to copy them. The same site has a very useful Photo Resizer for free also. Hope this helps John |
