Very strange for Arc not to respond, try their contact form: www.arceurotrade.co.uk/contact.aspx I didn't realise that the Chinese models dated back to 78, or is yours a Russian one? Not suire of any European dealers. Neil |

1481 forum posts 149 photos | Hello npu, I have just been directed to this post by Howard. SIEG factory was born in 1988. So, if your machine is a 78 model, it is from elsewhere probably? If your machine is a SIEG C2, the spares for it are on this page. You need to check and make sure that the part you have looks exactly like the products in the pictures on that spares page. If they don't, please don't make a purchase. We do not appear to have an email requesting a motor for a C2. However, please send me a personal message with your email address, by clicking the 'Message member' link below this message, or give Arc a call and speak with Ian. Ketan at ARC

14 forum posts | as i understood, my lathe is from 12month of 1978 year. (i will put a photo). definitely it is a usual chinese mini lathe and a motor from the arc site will suit.. hello Ketan, perhaps i lost Your reply in a spam somewhere, sorry. i tried to buy from ARC but firstly my card was denied (visa electron- the same used for paypal, so maybe this is a problem). i tried to enter somewhere my Vat number to get a discount (the shipping cost for croatia are high so this was an option), but i did not figure out how to do it. now i have a new visa card so i can eventually try again to complete a purchase. i bought some equipment and tools 5-6 years ago from ARC and all went well. thank You |

1481 forum posts 149 photos | Hello npu, What I am saying is.... if the machine is from '78, it is not from SIEG. You say that the motor from ARC 'will suit'. It is up to you to check from our website if it will suit. However, if you buy it and if it fails to suit, then there is no returns option. We sell this product as an electrical component. It is checked before dispatch, and we do not accept returns of electrical spare parts. Also, we are unable to check if this motor will be correct for your machine. So, if you purchase an electrical spare - such as this motor, it is at your own risk. I say this with the greatest of respect. Ketan at ARC.

14 forum posts | i tought that the number was a year of production... all the spares from ARC fitted the machine (bearings, gears, etc... ) so i am sure the motor is the same too.. thanks |

![]() 2320 forum posts 452 photos | npu, the ARC motor in Ketans link certainly looks the same as yours and you can also check the motor details (sizes etc) in the link. The only thing I noticed is the ARC motor is 250 watt whilst your lathe label quotes 400 watts but that could be just wishful thinking by the manufacturer at the time. |
