Happy birthday Windy !. I admire all you people that ride bikes at insane speeds , which has reminded me of another bloke I admire too, a picture of Danilo Petrucci breaking for the hairpin from over 190 mph at I think the Red Bull ring, Not much fork travel left Edited By Roger Williams 2 on 10/05/2022 21:13:46 |

Get youself a Diamond Toolholder from Eccentric engineering , saves a lot of messing about grinding all the facets by hand . Clamp HSS bit in the jig provided in the kit, a few passes across the wheel, job done. |

Oily rag, why on earth do say you found U tube content extremely sad ?. Were you watching funerals ?. I know its all subjective, but in my opinion, theres everything imaginable on U tube, and most of the time a lot better than TV. Historical, machining, welding, woodwork, battleships, railways, motorcycles, cars, just about anything you can think of !!!. |

Hello all, I know this is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know whats happened to David Wilks , a machinist from Sheffield. He used to do a lot of videos on U tube about trepanning , on hard steels like Inconel . Its been many months since his last video and am getting concerned, probably like a lot of people that something has happened to him !. Do hope hes OK . Many thanks. |

Hello all, bought a 4 inch self centreing Chinese 3jaw chuck (£43) off ebay, made a backplate and fitted it to a spin indexer. Chucked a piece of 3/4 inch ground bar and checked the runnout - 1 1/2 thousands of an inch !!!!. Not bad at all. Incredible value. As an aside, my friend asked me some time ago if I could repair a bottom guide runner of a VW Transporter sliding door , VW price about £110 . Got one off ebay , Chinese of course , for £8.90. Beautifully made too. Delivery included. Bloody hell !!. |
