How come second driver premium goes up...they're just a named driver. If my wife bent her car I wouldn't have seen a need for me to add that as an incident on my next renewal on one of my cars. I don't recall anything on the proposals I've just been filling in asking whether a car I'm named driver on has made a claim.
If your wife had an accident or claim on her car, you would have to declare that on your policy if she is a named driver ... under the second driver details it asks if the 2nd driver had had any accidents or claims (It has on every policy I have had)... so your policy quote would go up! |

Who is going to pay the difference between your proposed Cap and the market price?
Who is paying the difference between the Market Value and the Price Cap on Gas and Electricity? Perhaps you want to remove the cap on Gas and Electtric then and pay full market price!!! In my view all 3 fuels (Gas, Electric and Oil) should either be capped or not capped |

BEWARE Even as I was posting above the GPO was silently delivering my parcel for real in the time window the text said. Unexpected present from nephew. But the texts I was getting with a link to ryml.me the GPO themselves say is a scam (smishing). So this means the GPO system has been hacked so the scammers can smish people who are expecting a delivery.
Not strictly true ..... they just send to everyone even if they are not expecting a Royal Mail Delivery ..... hoping someone will respond. At this time of year people will be getting unexpected parcels. Yes it is a SCAM ... but GPO system not hacked!

Thread: Windows 10 "upgrade" to Windows 11 Anyone tried it? |
04/12/2021 13:19:01 |
I upgraded my desktop a month or so ago .... No problems in the upgrade, in fact the easyist/cleanist I have ever done. I have seen no problems since upgrading, a few things are different but a quick google sorted those out! No crashes or hangs, only program I had to reinstall was Clickbooks. It does seem smoother and faster .... I am running a Dell 8930 (Intel i7 - 6 core/duo) with 32Gb of RAM and a 1Tb SSD as the System Disk and a 4Tb HD for Data. Also Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. Thread: Selling your models: do they have to be licensed? |
03/12/2021 09:19:35 |
It depends .... If you make and sell say models of Thomas the Tank Engine .... you might need to register and pay a fee if the volume was high!!! Also some railway companies have been known to demand fee's if you use/sell their livery! Bust is sold unpainted then you should be OK Dave |

Blackgates do the plans for a 5" gauge Class 08 called Charlatan. They also do various castings and laser cuts for it. The plans are quite old, so you may need to re-think what Motor/Gears you use. |

I suspect only international subscribers are getting the email ..... as the email does say We cannot however guarantee timely delivery, as we rely upon complex international distribution networks which are each suffering their own challenges at this time, and we do expect delays and disruption for the next few months.

Hi, What type of model are you making and what size/scale? Have you thought about Plastikard (Slaters) this comes in various sizes. Dave Edited By Steambuff on 04/06/2021 09:51:22 |
Thread: Postal Imports ... Notice 143 |
01/01/2021 15:24:20 |
I think that for VAT the limit is now £0, but for Import Duty the limit is £135 .... So a purchase under £135 will only attract VAT .... Correct me if I am wrong Dave |
