could any one help me out , i have just bought a 0-80 psi 1 inch dia pressure gauge with 2.36mm dia nipple end with 1.62 mm dia bore , how do you attach 1/8 inch dia copper pipe to this

i am a newcomer to the art of model engineering am in the process of starting to build a 2 inch scale clayton steam lorry.have some drawings and model engineer mags explaining the build which seam a bit misleading at times.need to know how it all works, different functions of items such as boiler,safety ,blower,water valves,injectors,hand pump,pressure gauge and water tank ,etc.how they inter connect with each other.also how to get started with all the controls,water into the boiler,cab reverser arrangement and all other levers to make the lorry move.is they any books or other publications that anyone knows of that will help me out in the building my clayton steam lorry. look forward to hearing from anyone. thanks ade

donald thanks for the reply ,i have the piping layout that in model enginers mag number 3603 i also have drawing m35 sheet 9 which has boiler fittings, pump etc and piping layout on.

hello i want to fit a dog-clutch to my 2 inch scale clayton stem lorry .i have been told that information about this idea is in one of the volumes of model engineer mags .does any one which volume it was in. thanks ade

donald my clayton has the water pump fitted into the tank behind cab, does the pipe from pump go to one of the clack connectors on boiler ,and im i right in thinking the other connector out of top of tank goes to the feedclack / bypass which is fitted to boiler side .also where does the pipe from bottom of water gauge go to . thanks ade
