Try this web site and download a complete index from issue 1
They are zipped files so you need to download PKZIP to open them if you do not have it already
When you click on the link it looks like it has done nothing but scroll down to bottom of page and there they are
The files are in Excel so easy to use for a search.
There is also a useful cross reference file

As far as the first indice is concerned I could ask our librarian as the BSMEE has volumes back to No:1, if you really need that info.
