Thread: How to fault find DC motor speed controller? |

Is the pulley secured with a grub screw? If so, it's definitely worthwhile completely removing the screw and checking for a second one underneath it. David |
Thread: Imlec 50 |
02/11/2016 10:02:11 |
Hi Diane Yes, 1969 was the first and 1970 was the second. So, following your list, 1978 was the tenth and 1998 was the thirtieth. However, as Paul rightly said, 2001 was cancelled due to foot & mouth. Therefore 2009 was the fortieth and 2019 will be the fiftieth. Hopefully I've got that right... Regards David |

Hi Paul I think you're right, IMLEC 50 will be in 2019. Regards David |

We could put the lot on a single DVD. Would people be prepared to pay around £50 if it was nicely presented (proper case, colour inserts and cellophane wrap), and included some sort of index? Neil If as Roger mentioned, it included all issues from no.1 to the present day, then I think £50 would be a good price. Bearing in mind that would be nearly 250 issues, or just over 20p per issue. Thread: Tools I would like to have |

"A putting on tool will replace metal you have removed by mistake, Neil needs one more than most" So that explains why Southam started off as a 7 1/4" gauge design, and ended up 3 1/2" gauge!... |

Chronos seem to be doing a BA screw pitch gauge: http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/info-SPBA.html Regards David |

23/09/2016 13:47:50 |
Hi Ketan Many thanks for that Yes, ME 4543 arrived fine on Friday 16th. My replacement copy of ME 4542 arrived the day after on Saturday 17th, while I was enjoying myself at the Brooklands show. No problems with MEW 246 which arrived on Saturday 10th. I now have two catalogues, so the spare one is going up to the club for everyone there to peruse! Kind regards David |

Surely if only making the one ring, you don't need a full length ring triblet, you could use a Stub Mandrel... |

Thread: ME4470 |

I too would like to say congratulations to Diane and your team for an excellent ME 4470. I found the two technical articles to be most interesting and informative. After all, that is why I buy Model Engineer, to learn something! Any information that helps me become better at model engineering is most welcome on my part. Regarding the article on boiler design; Like many others, I never expect to design a boiler, but would be most interested in reading that and other future technical articles. Definitely the way to go! Regards David |

Hi all
Has anyone received their subscription copy of ME issue 4393 - 17 December?
My subscription copy of 4393 has not arrived yet.
I know the post is disrupted by Christmas and the bad weather, but copies have managed to reach the shelves in my local Smiths!
Best wishes, David |
