If you use bbq paint, when it's dry you can buff it up. I think it has graphite in it.

And you think we live in democracy?

Having lived in one party state countries they were a lot safer and you knew where you stood with the judiciary!

Taps are quite easy to sharpen and can be touched up with a stone.

Singapore is a very civilised country and very safe. This is because the punishments are quite severe but everyone knows what will happen if they break the law. These yobs would be caned with a ratten cane. There is very little crime in Singapore and this due to the public being full aware of the punishments and they fully support them.

Outside Changi Prison there are signs stating all intruders will be shot dead and they aren't joking!

When I was younger I grew up overseas and I deviated from the correct path. I was sentenced to receive 6 "Cuts" at the local Police Station with a Doctor present.

I have never strayed since and most of the people who received similar punishment didn't either! It did work and word spread around school about the results of the punishment!

I am afraid we have become too soft. If we still had the birch there would be a lot less trouble. When you have been birched once you certainly do want a second helping!

If you make up a saturated solution of table salt and malt vinegar, soak them in this and it will remove zinc plating overnight!

Can you reverse this process?

Why not use PTFE?

I bought the Warco horizontal bandsaw. It was built to a price, but the main faults were easily rectified.

Changed the vice lead screw, nut and handle.

Added a wider plate to the movable jaw.

Sorted out the stop switch and resting stop.

Made a coolant tray and tank.

Now I am very pleased with it. Largest cut so far was 150mm square aluminium.

To convert an Austin 7 dynamo to 12 you just need to change the voltage regulator.

Ordinary 12 point sockets will fit square heads.

The fonts are all wrong.

Start slow until the bar is round then treat the same as round bar.

I have a 8 x 4 x 1" of road plate steel on my fabrication bench and that weighs 800kg
