Thread: A tale of two suppliers
04/10/2018 18:39:38

If I was in business and my delivery courier took 5 days to deliver I would find a courier that companies use that deliver faster, it is a competitive world after all

Used Tracy and they are good, supplier A probably will last all day in business, there a lot of good suppliers but also a lot of rubbish ones, we soon find out who to trust

Thread: Oxy Acetylene or Oxy Propane?
01/10/2018 20:01:32

I think the hoses are rated type T for propane and type R for acetylene, this courtesy of YT, done a bit of research and seems I can use my oxy/acet torch but need to get a dedicated cutting nozzle for propane

I have a number of oxy acetylene torches including welding/cutting and lightweight all with their nozzles. I also use propane wit sievert torch. Been thinking of getting acet again but can I use the oxy/acet torches with propane?

Abom79 on you tube has good size spray cans which can be filled up and given a squirt of air, I have looked round uk and can't find similar, I generally use Duck Oil bought by the gallon decanted into plastic spray bottles which don't seem to last long but hey ho

Thread: What has happened to fly spray?
16/09/2018 22:40:32

I am usually beset by a single fly, after trying the best part of a can it eventually expires then almost immediately replaced by another fly, I am sure they are lined up in a distribution system wjhich releases one at a time just to get right up my nose, or perhaps it is the original fly which I didn't kill in the first place

Thread: Lubricating my Warco WM14 Mill
13/09/2018 20:38:29

Hi Kevin,

This is a good question, I tried to work out where to oil the gear cluster but didn't find any oiling point. I removed the sight glass and squirted some oil over the gears but as the head casting has no base the oil just ran out all over the place, all i do now is to use some grease applied through the sight glass hole to the gears and so far no problems

Thread: Using a heatbed froma 3D printer to control condensation on my machines
24/08/2018 09:32:40

I have used tubular heaters in my garage with some sucess put up under the corrugated roof panels, but have had good results by leaving a small desk fan running in garage seems to work and presume the air flow inhibits the condensation,
