I'm reliably informed it's £2.00+ a litre at a motorway service station in the Midlands.

Aldi online have the Scheppach version on sale for £160.00, at the moment. That's £40 cheaper than Screwfix or Toolstation. Metal Bandsaw

Thread: Camden Miniature Steam Services

Mark - same thing happened to me. Ordered two books. One came straight away, the other took about six weeks. The variable lead times are all down to the current Covid restrictions. The book that took six weeks was due to Camden running out of stock and the publisher having reduced staffing levels to fulfill orders. Camden are having the same issue with staff numbers in the office.

In my case I sent an email inquiry to Camden. I got a timely response explaining the above.

Camden are still trading and have usually been pretty prompt with their orders in the many years I have been buying from them.

The current restrictions are causing bottle necks in the supply chain especially with the smaller publishers.

Thread: What to use for New Worktop?

James, this has been discussed previously.

Type bench covering into the keyword box at the top of the page.

This will bring up some previous threads on the subject which may give you some ideas.

Thread: London model engineering exhibition

I went yesterday morning. Nobody gave my rucksack a second look.
The bag searches seemed to be reserved for the people attending the snooker competition in the hall next door to the exhibition.

Paul: If you mean Farnham in Surrey, then your travel plans are correct. If you need anymore info, ask away. I live there. I'm not sure where the 51 pubs are though.

When I went last year, a taxi cost ?6.50 from the station to the exhibition. I walked back to the station afterwards rather than wait for a bus. I went on the Sunday.

In a lecture by Richard Dawkins about Frederick William Sanderson, the headmaster of Oundle school (famous for introducing engineering into the school curriculum) he relates how Sanderson saw a boy using a surface plate as an anvil. Rather than punish him, the boy was sent to the library to produce an essay on the correct use of both pieces of equipment.

Thread: SS BA screws

Ba-bolts do sell a limited range of SS bolts. They are hidden away at the bottom of the Steel screws lists.

They sell very small quantities.
