Muzzer, Mine looks thrown together compared to yours. From a pallet: Geoff - No heating so long johns time |

Neil, As you can see, I did find the centre taps after following a couple of videos on YouTube, and no difference in operation whether they are joined or not. Haven't applied power to them either - yet. Do they provide micro-steps using the right controller/software? Just chuffed I actually got my head around how to get it to spin.

I didn't waste the 2.1/2 months waiting for my foot to heal, but 'educated' myself on steppers and how to control them. Geoff - Still unsure about centre taps though. |

Thread: How to remove Record Vice handles? |
09/10/2017 13:27:20 |
Make the handle sticky as I've done to all of my vices. Just don't leave the handle pointing upwards than walk past with a partly unzipped jumper Geoff - Austin body attached to the Rotisserie/Tilter at last |

As a North Midlander I recognise the "skunt" as a term for skewness but I also have come across those from Rose country who might refer to "Not wreck t' th ay" Bob D
Together with the regional accents! Geoff - Foot 99% healed by the feel of it! |

Thanks Norman for the wishes. Here's the culprit: This is what happened: Vice Attack Geoff - Had just got the Ruby body back into the Carport ready to work on it! Edited By OuBallie on 09/09/2017 14:49:34 |
06/09/2017 16:11:26 |
Back on my feet for a few hours a day now, after being attacked by the vice in the Workshop. Five weeks now having to have left for elevated for most of the time! Geoff - Frustration level at 100% |
Thread: Return of the Shaper |
11/08/2017 14:13:37 |
Don't use it anywhere near often enough for my liking! Tool bits sorted long ago as this is an old photo. That sandblasting cabinet now resides in the Carport doing stirling work. Geoff - Another week to fortnight before left foot has repaired itself, meaning frustration is at the 100% level. Edited By OuBallie on 11/08/2017 14:17:00 |

Cannot claim originality. Used square guttering. Why has this photo uploaded into Albums 90° off? Geoff - Laid up after being grabbed by vice handle and landing flat on my arse, and swollen left foot! |
Thread: No More Problems with Photobucket Images |
21/07/2017 13:20:24 |
Thanks Neil & JohnMc. Have added them to the others I'm looking at. Geoff - Austin now ready to tilt.

I found the article: Re-engineering a low cost Chinese drill press, by Brian Smith, AME July 2001. I would be interested in reading that article. What is AME? Steve Australian Model Engineering - AME Geoff - Making frames to attach the Austin body to the Tilter/Rotisserie |

JasonB,
What can I say that 'OuBallie' doesn't. Geoff - Must read posts before jumping in! PS 1445h Oh for goodness sakes, I DID read the post by Neil! Geoff - Loosing it due to heat. Edited By OuBallie on 10/07/2017 14:47:31 |

Greed knows no bounds as they are demonstrating! **LINK** for details. They are about to start charging a Usery $399.00/year for 3rd Party Hosting. Don't mind paying, but not the Usery amount they want. Doesn't effect this Forum of course, thank goodness..

> Geoff - Workshop 23°, Carport 30° so guess where I'm spending my time? Walking into my workshop is like breathing hot water today! Walking into mine felt as if I'd stepped into a freezer by comparison and took my breathe away for an instant. Soon warmed up though following a number of trips back and forth. Geoff - The efficacy of insulation proven. |

Mick, You will be mesmerised by it's action, BUT do, however, fit a guard on the front to deflect the blue swarf that flies off, onto the tray. Mine with DIY handles Geoff - Day off organising Ruby repairs photos |

Thread: inverter stick welder |

I have a CT-312 120A 3in1 machine and it handles my requirements with ease. As already mentioned, buzzbox and inverter machines are like chalk and cheese. My stick welding has improved beyond recognition compared with the absolute disaster it was when I tried a buzzbox years ago. Geoff - Workshop 23°, Carport 30° so guess where I'm spending my time? |
Thread: Austin Seven cylinder block |
04/07/2017 14:09:25 |
BobH, All now revealed. For some unknown reason I just could not get this video to upload to either YouTube or Facebook and gave up after 5 attempts, even trying a different computer. Last night tried once more following the success with the one showing me rolling the Ruby body into the Carport and bingo it was successful on checking this morning. AustinSevenCylinderBlockWhatsit Geoff - B-pillar repair now |
