When I decided to transfer my cine films to DVD I borrowed a transfer device from a friend but had probs with the focus so in the end I projected to films onto a piece of bright white card a film them with a camcorder the results whilst maybe not as good as they could have been if I had them done professionally I was pleased with the finished results. |

1719 forum posts 1 photos | U-Tube wouldn't let me in at first - safety mode was turned on and apparently the safety-mode filter considered this "inappropriate content". I think safety mode must be set by default these days - I certainly hadn't turned it on. I turned it off and can only assume that U-Tube thinks that machines like these might get us a little too worked up. It did the same thing on a video of the weekend's Formula-E race. |

![]() 2904 forum posts 448 photos | I paid some local guy with a machine to transfer 16 rolls of 8mm colour film to MP4 or similar. Wasn't massively cheap but I have them as files now and can share them so easily, unlike before. Saves faffing about - you can get on with your life while someone who knows what they are doing sorts it out for you quickly. Murray |
