In 4484 Chris Gunn says he has not seen traditionally cast hubs used on a miniature. If you are are a member here Chris have a look at this thread on TT forum or anyone else who is interested to see how its done on a model.

Jason, thanks for that link, needless to say since I wrote that piece I found out that the first 2 6" scale 4CD's were built with cast in spokes, and a few weeks ago saw a 6" Ruston with cast in spokes. I have mentioned the former in a later episode.

smile o Those moths are an endangered species, daylight is not good for them, they are naturally nocturnal and prefer the dark safe inside of my purse.

I don't like forums that charge for access which is why I rarely visit TT and will not post on there. It is not as if owning and running a forum is expensive.
