![]() 121 forum posts 66 photos | Good Morning, Apologies if this subject has come up before but I can't find much info on the Harrogate show website. Having been a visitor at both Harrogate and the Midlands model shows for a number of years I thought this year I might have a go at entering one of my creations. I did email Lou Rex with my questions but have not yet had a reply so I can only assume he is busy with the details of the exhibition. I was looking for a little more information on how to enter the competitions. The main problem I have is that I cant attend the show on the Sunday. Is there a service to have small-ish items posted back? I`m not sure how practical this would be but I`m sure it must come up as an issue for others. I was also interested to know what day the judging takes place and what categories are available? Any information would be much appreciated. |

![]() 121 forum posts 66 photos | This does sound like the best way, although from what I have seen from previous years shows my local club does not have a stand. I wonder if it would it be possible to have a seperate display area for those that wanted to exhibit just for one day. People could drop off an item before the show starts and collect it after closing..... |

4 forum posts 1 photos | Hi Michael, For info we accept all models into competition at our exhibition in Harrogate. Usual categories are Locomotives, Road Vehicles, Stationary engines, Workshop equipment, Boats (kit and scratch built), Fairground models, Meccanno, Model Wheelwrights and we also a category for young engineers 16 and under. For anything that doesn't fit into the above categories we have a Miscellaneous section. Judging takes place on the Friday. Unfortunately we can not offer a return service for any exhibitor models for logistical reasons and models need to be displayed for the duration of the exhibition in order to maintain the consistency of the show for all those attending. It is unfortunate that your local club does not have a stand this year, are there any neighbouring clubs that do attend? A list of the clubs that attended last year is available on the website, this will be updated shortly with those confirmed for this year. If you wanted to let me know where abouts in the country you are I could forward you information about the clubs in your area. Many thanks Gavin Rex Exhibition Manager
