Hi. Does anyone have a drawing to make a 3 cock water gauge. I am building a 6" traction engine and want to make my own. 1/8" bsp X 10mm glass.

Regards.

Roger

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but please check your Messages

... I replied to yours.

.

P.S. There is a design for a small Three Cock Water Gauge in here.

... perhaps it includes what you need to know.

Hi Michael.

Had some bother getting into my account for some reason. I hate computers, what happened to Pony Express.

My email address is [email protected]

Michael,
Think I replied to this chap some while ago scanned in drawing and emailed but got no response so gave up (could be a different person) but got the feeling that he/they wanted to do them comercialyTell him to search Dag Browns articles on "Anna" and he will find what he is looking for. Made the 7.25" beast but sold it plus all drawings and articles.

Roger,

Although it doesn't answer your original question, Tony Bird is current explaining (with excellent pictures) how he makes water gauges for his boilers on the Home Model Engine Machinist forum. The thread is titled "Water Gauges for Boilers" and might be worth viewing - at least it will give you some ideas as to how to fabricate your own.

Regards Tom

HI.

If you are talking about me then I don't remember asking about the water gauge before but did ask about Bridgeport wiring earlier this year but could not access the reply, I don't do computers. I want a water gauge for my 6" Little Samson, I do not do commercial engineering, I have enough problems building one offs.

Thanks again Chris for your drawings which will go no further than here.

I do have holiday accommodation here in Brittany if anyone is interested, discounts to members. (Sorry about the plug)

Regards.
