![]() 2747 forum posts 123 photos | I bought a supposedly working VFD but so far have been unable to get the motor to turn. I find the manual and the programming procedure for this particular make/model very unintuitive and after reading the manual throroughly still cannot see how to reset it to factory defaults (which I thought would be a good starting point!) The motor I hope to use it on is a SEM unit that drives a Boxford coolant pump. Its rating plate has very few details current/voltage/speed so I am not sure if thats enough to set the VFD at optimum (I want to drive a small mill with it) If anyone has the same VFD and can offer a few tips I would appreciate it (all the buttons, lights work, but I dont even know whether its set for its front panel to be used for start stop etc)

![]() 2747 forum posts 123 photos | John Thanks for your help. I can get to H03 but it seems to be fixed at 0. The excuse for a manual shows it not changeable 'during operation'. With H 03 on the disp (with 3 blinking) pressing func/data display changes to single blinking 0 and up down buttons do nothing. Is it some sort of locked mode? Ian |

After completion of the initialisation H03 reverts back to 0

![]() 2747 forum posts 123 photos | Thanks, I will try that tomorrow. I have a supplementary question... Th motor plate shows 0.25A on 200V / 0.15A on 380 What HP or kW rating is it likely to be? I presume not very powerful as it only drove a suds pump impeller but its 2850RPM (a lot more on the VFD) Ian P |

392 forum posts | Round figures: 0.25A at 200V = 50W, or 0.15A at 380V = 57W. Much the same; call it 54W (or 0.054kW). 746W = 1 HP, so 54W is about 0.075HP. Less than 1/10 HP. Andy |
