842 forum posts 56 photos | I think David Clark said that they don't have digital sources for some of the older issues. (I hope this is not mis-interpreting an older posting - nobody has responded differently) Another JohnS. |

829 forum posts 1 photos | Hi John, I took that to mean that they don't have digital copies before a certain date - I'm sure they don't since ME goes so far back. But 4158 is in the middle of a bunch of issues that they do have posted so presumably it did exist in digital form at one time. |

3681 forum posts 70 photos | ME4158 was a Xmas Special 2001. It contains only reprints from much older issues and as such does not miss any ongoing article at the time of publication. Perhaps this is the reason for its absence? |

829 forum posts 1 photos | Perhaps that's it, KWIL. It doesn't seem a very satisfactory explanation though since, other factors being equal, it requires making it a "special case". That is "include every issue from xxx date forward except #4158" .... pretty much guaranteeing that "where is it" queries will be raised (possibly multiple times). Not to mention that reprints from older issues give it an intrinsic interest for some people on that account alone.
Simpler to just include it if it's available, I would have thought. Especially as it contains something that I'm interested in looking at .... or perhaps it's just an oversight. |
