I hope no-one minds yet another oscillating engine but here are some pics of my first project which I completed last week.

Took me about six months (a few hours a week - not retired yet sad). Very steep learning curve (more reading than doing) but it did work first time.

Based on plans from **LINK** to whom I owe many thanks.

Hi Gary

Looks good.... that was my first project about 12 months ago. I put some photos in my album. What's next?

Thanks Bob. Next is a Stuart S50 bought at the Midlands exhibition. Feels like I'm following a well trodden path here. I need to have a practice milling on the lathe first so I don't make a mess of the castings.

Looks really neat to me and a nice finish on the parts, well done.

Nicely done Gary.

I also started with one of these and found it very rewarding when it ran. I think it is a brilliant first project as it has building tips with the drawings and also is drawn in metric units unlike many older wobbler designs. I went on to a Stuart 10V and now I'm working on John "Bogstandard" Moore's Paddleduck twin.

It would be nice to send a picture of your engine to the designer who has a page on his site for them to encourage others.

Thanks Jim, I thought about the Paddleduck engine because it is more like an engineering course with all John's extra tips, rather than just a set of plans but in the end plumped for the S50. I might try it in the future.
