The springs specified on the drawing of the locomotive axle boxes will not fit, the i/d is too small. I suspect the studs should be 5ba as per Don Youngs drawing of the Derby 4F that this model is based on.

Definitely my mistake, either use 5BA as suggested or obtain bigger diameter springs such as Lee LC-042C-9.

Hi Nick

could you tell me where I can get the springs you have stated Lee LC-042C-9.

I have looked on Lee springs and they are not listed

Try searching on LC-042C-09 (those are zeros) not letter Os - oops 2 Ronnies !
