Sale and Wanted Ads Email contacts

The third occasion on which I've tried to contact a member via their email link in the classifieds and AGAIN the computer has crashed with interminable IE windows opening up and the computer 'frozen'. In this case, it was 'Windy' but it appears to happen with any subscriber's links.

If Windy still needs the R8 collets, please contact me via PM.

Any possibility that the IT techies could investigate and fix??

ive just been to Windy's wanted ad and clicked on his email link and it works just fine and as i would expect it to
an empty email popped up immediately, ready for me to type my message in and send away

i would suggest that its a problem with your email client in the way it handles the mailto: link being clicked on
does it happen on other sites when you try the same thing ?

take note of the error message. thats what they are there for. it should tell you what the problem is or at least give you a clue to the problem

Thanks Ziggar - you could well be right, but I have had (so far) no problems with any other mail links. Mind you, as a combination practically guaranteed to produce electronic conniptions, Tiscali and MHS software could be classed as hard to beat!

Error message??? Zilch, Rien, nada, just a totally frozen screen (even the 3 finger salute won't work ) being endlessly filled with repetitive copies of IE sub-windows - and I don't use IE!!!!
