I've got this engine running but its very air gready my little compressore can only keep it going for about 10 seconds before it runs out of wind, I'll keep tinkering with it to see if it can be improved but I may have run into the limitations of the design.

The running time is dependent on air volume not pressure.

You can probably get around it by using a receiver tank between the compressor and the engine instead of feeding direct from the compressor and feed the tank with a large diameter pipe and the engine with a smaller diameter pipe.

Hi Eric:- Thanks for your interest, yes you're probably correct when you say it volume not pressure, I'll be taking the engine to a friend who has a bigger tank so will see if it runns longer on that.

Still got some fettling to do spotted one or two areas for improvement, one of the bearing stands is slightly short a couple of though ish so I'll shim that up, I havn't sealed any of the joints so that won't help but I'm happy with it:- I'll keep running it to losen things up whilst I make a ball valve for it and a base etc, then it will get stripped down.
