Boiler Ferrules - Whats the correct material to use?

 858 forum posts 215 photos | I have a Stuart 504 boiler and I need to replace a couple of the ferrules - easy enough to make, but what is the correct material to use?

 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | What are you meaning by Ferrules? do you mean the bushes that are soldered into the boiler to take fittings if so use bronze. If its the ferrule that goes on the end of a pipe again I would use bronze as its a bit softer and will take up any irregularity in the joint though brass is quite common. J |
