Having bought two of these drill stands from Lidl yesterday I set about reading the articles in MEW 183 and 184

Am I missing something or is the construction of the table not there?

Hi John,
All the information is there. As stated in the first part of the article the table is actually a lathe faceplate from my 7 x 12 minilathe that fits onto the flanged pillar.
The table mounting construction (i.e. the baseplate, socket and flanged pillar) is described at the end of the first part of the article and continues at the beginning of the second part.

Hi John,

Details of the construction of the faceplate illustrated in MEW can be found on my website:

The standard minilathe faceplate also fits the flanged pillar.

I noticed the drill stands are on sale at Lidl at the moment so inspired by the article I went and bought one. How they do it for £12.99 is beyond me.
By the way a nice article Mike and easy to follow.
Frank.

For anyone interested in trying this project in France, I picked up the same stand for Euro16.99 in Lidl's Pontcharra (Isere) on Saturday.
