3 forum posts | I have a Denford Viceroy TDS 1/2 PCs lathe. It is in excellent condition but a previous owner has dismantled the power feed. The leadscrew still functions but I would like to get everything working. I have to confess that I am a total ignoramous where things like this are concerned, indeed it was only last year that at the age of 78 I decided to bite the bullet and take up this hobby.
So is there anyone within reasonable distance from me (Havant, Hants) who could help me understand what is needed, indeed if it is feasible.
Thank you

1058 forum posts 16 photos | Hi Frank, I don't have any experience of your particular lathe however, I would be prepared to offer assistance in re-assembling your lathe. I have dismantled and rebuilt a number of lathes, mills, etc over the past years. Do you have all the parts that were removed during dis-assembly? Do you have manuals for the lathe. Have you made enquiries on www.lathes.co.uk, there is often a lot of info available from Tony that may assist you. I'm not too far away from you, just a short trip down the A3 so I can always pop down one weekend and take a look. Can you provide photographs of the lathe and the areas that need attention? Kind regards Graeme |

3 forum posts | Hi Graeme, many thanks for the offer. I have a manual I obtained from Tony but there is negative info on how to dismantle. I do have some bits that I understand were removed from the lathe but I am reluctant to take a spanner to the lathe without knowing more.
As far a photo's are concerned I think the easiest thing for me to do would be to take some and put them on a memory stick and send them to you.
All the best

3 forum posts | Hi Graeme
Not sure if you fot my last posting. If not, could you come over some time for discussions and a look at the lathe. I will feed and water you and pay petrol.
Best wishes
