however, I have no address for castings, it’s a pity
we don’t have here a dedidated trade for model engineers.
I also order At CES without problems, but for heavy items.
(I ordered last week small loco wheels at Walsall Model Industries in UK,
no faster deliveries and no better quality, amazing)

Any more forum members living over here? I am at the stage of needing to find someone to approve and test my 5" loco boiler and also find some track "local" to me in the LOT region. Regarding track, I will probably start to make some portable stuff during the winter for testing the loco.

If you are confident in your own workmanship and don't feel it needs checking the reason for boiler testing is to acquire insurance to run in public, so finding the insurance would be your first step which might lead you to a suitable tester.

A year or so ago it might have been possible to extend testing and insurance from a UK source to cover you in Europe, but I suspect that this has gone the way of many other things with Brexit.

Well, its been a while, but my SPEEDY boiler has passed its hydraulic test and once our club has ratified the results, it will pass onto the steam test. If all goes well a certificate should follow later this year.

The working pressure is 5.6 Bar (11.2 Bar test pressure).
