4 forum posts | My first post here! I have ended up with an Elliott 8-20 Surface Grinder which appears to be in good condition, however it is missing the grinding wheel and the wheel arbour, would anyone here know where I might find one or be able to give me dimensions so I can make my own? Actually typing this from my hospital bed, I did my back in picking up 2 litres of milk! and will be here for a few days yet.

![]() 922 forum posts 332 photos | Hi Will,
Sorry, although I've used several in my time, I don't have a clue about your surface grinder. I just thought you'd like a friendly note (also from OZ), to say
`Get Well Soon!'
![]() Have you tried Soya milk? It's seems to be a little lighter on the system than the cow's stuff.
Anyway, best regards,
Sam

4 forum posts | Well I am out of hospital and pretty well back to normal, turned out to be a prolapsed disc in the lower back, don't get one of them they hurt! We went and picked up the Elliott today, while I was in hospital I contacted the college where the machine came from asking about the arbour, the teacher there told me to bring it around on the way home and he would have a look for the arbour, so we went there and found the arbour and was given a new wheel as well as a small vice for the magnetic chuck! I have a manual for the grinder on the way from Tony Griffiths so as soon as I get the machine off the pallett and into position I can give it a run.
Does anyone know anything about the history of the Elliott company ? I have googled and can't find anything.
