399 forum posts 167 photos | Hi,
I used the excellent ME index to find the relavant articles for the C B Reeve One Year Chiming Bracket Clock described briefly in early 1963. The index gives vol 128 issue 3208 p3, 3210 p70, and 3214, p 197 for the clock
I managed to buy 3210 and 3214 but I suspect the the index is out by an issue as the item in 3214 p197 is about a gas engine. 3210 p70 is ok but it is the last article in the series.
Is anyone able to look at the copies of ME around that time and confirm the actual start date or sell me the relevant ME or scan the relavant pages for me so that I could view the complete article?
Thanks Peter |

44 forum posts 1 photos | Peter, I believe you have used the "searchable on line" version of the ME Index, which unfortunately does not show the "Category" field. Whilst the clock articles in issues 3208 and 3210 are categorised as "Horology", the reference in 3214 is a "Correction", seen towards the bottom of the third column. I will send copies of the item in issue 3208 directly to you. Regards - Chris. |

Many thanks for your reply and offer of the missing article, would never have found this C B Reeve clock without the index.
Do you mean that I should have downloaded the ME index before using it to search?
Looked again in 3214 and sure enough there is an amendment for one of the photographs on p 197---right at the end of the gas engine article!
