147 forum posts 1 photos | It all depends on whether you broke it on the cutting or backing stroke. Is it a 2,3 or 4 flute. If a 2 flute then a centre punch and 8 oz hammer can shatter the remains. if 4 flute then a tap extractor and patience will get it out. 3 flute extractors are, however hard to find. If the job is worth it then a spark eroder can be used. HTH

Not much help for mild steel, I know, but it's a problem I've had. Unfortunately these days the chemists don't sell chemicals anymore. Does anyone know a source for alum salts? Neil |
