I'm going through my plans (from Polly) and want to be sure that I have this correct.

Q1-008-L-003-Rev3.

Drilling plan. I have the "C/L Slideshaft drill 1.5 dia" as 15mm down from the cutout, 55mm in front of the CL of the 2nd axle. Should this be 12mm down, and 54mm back?

Generally, do you have a listing of errata to the published plans by Polly? I'm wondering if the plans I purchased (after completion of the series, IIRC) are up to date.

John, the revised measurements are as you quote 12mm down and 54mm forward from the middle axle centre line. Have you seen the other threads on here reguarding boiler treads and the regulator flang dia, regards Alan

Thanks for the tip - I did just find it by search a few minutes ago.

Right now just CADing up some drawings to add to the water jet cutting next time, and might look at the wheels as an interesting CNC project.

I do have a few projects to finish before hand (the Worden T&C is essentially complete) and some, like injectors, will do for multiple projects. (eg, the Shay locomotive under my workbench has the injector as the biggest hurdle to completion)

So, I won't be steaming one this summer, but do like the size and utilitarian looks...

Just to confirm the dimensions quoted above are correct to rev 5 of the frame drawing corrected in Dec 09. All drawings sold by Polly after that date should be rev 5. I will check with them to be sure.

I hope to be showing the loco built for the ME series at the London show at the Alexandra Palace on the Polly stand. This loco has been used for passenger hauling over the last year so will not be in 'exhibition' condition. It has the hydrostatic oiler option, no added handrails or guards and is in Southern Railway livery.

Just a FYI, my order for drawings went through 09/03/2012 - and it has the rev3 of that above mentioned drawing - updated by you in 2009.

I wonder what else is "behind the times" in my drawings?

Oh well! It's still great to have these drawings all in one place to page through, and, you did an admirable job in creating them.

Also found that there was a "rev4" on the line below the "rev3" number on the frame drawing.

Apologies - the drawings were rolled and *really* wanted to curl up. Trying for days to get them to lie flat and put them in order, when I noted the "rev4" (also, am used to the digital age, where there would be only one revision number!)

The slide shaft error was still there, not sure how old the "rev4" drawing was - but it must pre-date Nick's December '09 update, as his "rev5" was sent to Polly then.

This is just "info" - I think Nick has done a great job with very few noted errors (golden compared to others before him) and thank Polly for being the supplier - I just want others who may be in my shoes of purchasing drawings to note that they may possibly be years behind updates supplied by the author.
