53 forum posts | I'm scratch building a 5 in gauge BR Class 20 deisel electric, I don't have any drawings other than an outline drawing showing general measurements such as wheel base, length etc, this model will not be an accurate dipiction of the original but i wanted something to get me going reasonably quickly, I need to know what the footplate height is from the top of the rail, also the overall height for a 5 in scale would be helpful,

Where can you get a general arrangement drawing? I've worked out most of the detail now but I would like more info on the bogie design, I've done a rough sketch to work from but any detail would again be helpful

4 forum posts | I borrowed the drawing from the Class 20 society, copied it on a plans copier I have access to and returned the original.
I could take a few digital photos ot it, detail should show. I usually scan drawings I want to scale from as I have a useful photo scaling program (drawingruler) on my pc, it was a free download but its now gone online.
Email me at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

I recently enjoyed the article in ME about the mechanical controller. I am very interested in the class 20 loco, I purchased a drawing from Derby on the loco, however the bogie detail is a bit sparse. Does anyone have drawing of the bogies that I could borrow? I will pay the postage. Brian. |
