Identification of model in latest ME

323 forum posts 35 photos	I've just received Model Engineer Vol. 231 No. 4725. On the reverse side of the 'Smoke Rings' page there's an advert for Classic magazines with a picture of a rather splendid green single-cylinder vertical steam mill-engine with an unusual cross-head. Can anyone identify this for me please ? Is it available as drawings or castings, and has there been a construction series for it in any of the magazines ?

25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles	That's Anthony Mount's design for James Booth's Rectilinear Engine. Castings and drawings available from Polly/Bruce. It was also covered in EiM many moons ago and was the first engine of many that Anthony has now done. Can be built from scratch in which case a better buy than the drawing is his book "Historic Engines Worth Modelling " Vol 1 which ha sthe drawings and Text from the original EiM series Edited By JasonB on 09/09/2023 13:11:59
